Earn free CEUs by participating in IHCA Day on the Hill on March 8; Registration closes in one week

Your participation in IHCA’s Day on the Hill on March 8, sponsored by Medline, is critical to making an impact during the state legislative session on the issues that matter most to the long-term care profession.

As a new addition to this year’s Day on the Hill, IHCA will host a Grassroots Boot Camp on the best practices for conversing with elected officials prior to the trip to the State Capitol. The Grassroots Boot Camp will offer 2.0 CEUs for administrators, department heads and assisted living managers. There is no registration fee to attend the class or to participate in Day on the Hill. IHCA’s Grassroots Boot Camp | March 8 | 10:00 a.m. – Noon

IHCA’s Grassroots Boot Camp will inform providers on the challenges facing the long-term care (LTC) sector, how they impact different aspects of government and what providers can do to affect meaningful change. The greatest challenges for LTC are centered around funding, staffing and regulatory hurdles.

When working with our elected officials to address these issues, it is important to know the best practices for informing decison makers on these issues. The class will cover how to have these conversations and will also cover capitol logistics, processes and etiquette. IHCA’s Grassroots Boot Camp will give participants a well-rounded exposure to what will be experienced at IHCA’s Day on the Hill that afternoon.

This free class is approved for 2.0 CEUs for administrators, department heads and assisted living managers.

IHCA’s Day on the Hill | March 8 | 1:00 – 3:30 p.m.

This year’s state legislative session is another important one for our profession. This is our chance to address critical issues – including a rebase rate adjustment, access to care, inflation, staffing shortages and a number of sector-specific initiatives – that impact your ability to provide care. While IHCA has been working on these issues with key leaders, and will continue to strongly advocate on your behalf, it is also important for your elected representatives to hear from you directly on how these issues impact your organization and the community you serve.

IHCA Day on the Hill is your chance to make your voice heard – and to make an impact. We also encourage you to bring others from your organization. The more people we have on the hill, the even bigger impact we can make.

If you plan on attending both IHCA’s Grassroots Bootcamp AND Day on the Hill, register here.

If you plan to attend only the Day on the Hill Capitol portion of the event, register here.

Registration will close on Feb. 22. For questions, contact Brandon Hagen, VP, Reimbursement and Grassroots Advocacy, at 515-978-2204.
