Assisted Living Regulatory Course
This on-demand course, sponsored by Assisted Living Partners, provides nurses and administrators with the Iowa assisted living laws, rules and regulations. The focus of the education will be a review of the assisted living regulations and survey process and the role of the nurse and health care assistant in assisted living settings and medication management. The training will prepare nurses and administrators to develop services and procedures that reflect assisted living values and comply with Iowa certification rules. This course offers 7.0 CEUs for nurses, administrators and assisted living managers.

This virtual training program meets Iowa Assisted Living Regulation: 481-69.29(6): All Iowa assisted living facilities must have a minimum of one delegating nurse complete an assisted living nursing class whose curriculum includes at least six hours of training specifically related to Iowa rules and laws on assisted living.
Free Bronze Award Application Webinar
This session will provide introduction to the 2021 AHCA NCAL Quality Award Program and the Bronze Award video series that will help participants compose their first application. Participants will also gain an understanding of how to access the video series and successfully write their Quality Award application, using the step-by-step method provided by the video instructions.

Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) 2020 Reimbursement Update
The Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) 2020 Reimbursement Update covers the new guidance on the reporting of funds received through the CARES Act and the Paycheck Protection Program that was recently announced by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). In addition to Medicaid and CARES Act reporting, the SNF Reimbursement Update also covers population health management (PHM) updates and the effects of the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM). This education will offer three CEUs for nurses, social services staff and administrators.

ICAL Assisted Living Medication Manager Curriculum
The ICAL Assisted Living Medication Manager Course, sponsored by Right Dose, a Guardian Pharmacy, gives care providers the necessary tools to effectively manage medication administration in Iowa assisted living programs. ICAL’s course is approved by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals (DIA). As of Jan. 1, 2021, all unlicensed personnel passing medication in assisted living programs will be required to have successfully completed a medication aide or medication manager course approved by the DIA prior to administering medications in the assisted living setting. Unlicensed assisted living employees currently passing medications in certified programs have until Dec. 31, 2020 to complete the course.

Assisted Living Management Certification Course
This on-demand management course will prepare assisted living managers, administrators and nurses to develop services and procedures that reflect assisted living values and comply with certification rules. Whether you are new to health care, or simply new to the assisted living continuum, this course will give you the skills and confidence needed to manage your community successfully.
This course covers the Iowa assisted living survey process and regulations, resident services, human resources, leadership and governance, physical environment and financial management. Participants who successfully complete this 40-hour core course with passing test scores will earn the Iowa Assisted Living Management Certificate.

Still use “Register a Group”. You will be able to select just yourself in the group registration process. If “Register Yourself” is selected, the individual registrant will personally be billed and be responsible for invoice payment.
