Chensvold is elected to NCAL Board of Directors; Hejda retires from NCAL Board of Directors

Last week at its annual Convention and Expo, the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) elected AHCA’s Board of Governors and NCAL’s Board of Directors for the 2022-2023 term.

IHCA member David Chensvold of Healthcare of Iowa was elected as an at-large representative on the NCAL Board of Directors for the 2022-2023 term. IHCA member Stacy Hejda of Healthcare of Iowa retired from the NCAL Board of Directors this year. Additionally, Ted LeNeave of Accura Healthcare will continue to serve on the AHCA Board of Governors as the regional multi-facility representative for the 2022-2023 term.

“We are fortunate to have such determined, diverse leaders on the AHCA/NCAL boards,” said Mark Parkinson, president and CEO of AHCA/NCAL. “Nursing homes and assisted living communities are eager to rebuild, rebound and revitalize in 2023. We must strengthen the entire profession for a growing elderly population, and our expert board members are focused on the task at-hand.”

Members of the AHCA Board of Governors are elected by the association’s governing body, the Council of States. The NCAL Board of Directors is elected by current members of the NCAL Board and by the NCAL State Leaders. Both boards hold annual elections at the AHCA/NCAL Convention and Expo.
