Competency-based training announcement: Critical (major) incident reporting
Iowa Medicaid and the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) recently released informational letter (IL) 2495 regarding competency-based training reporting changes for critical (major) incident reporting.
The recent IL 2480, released on June 27, 2023, announced reporting changes for critical (major) incident reporting for all Home- and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver, habilitation and Money Follows the Person (MFP) members. The “Incident Report User Guide” in the Iowa Medicaid Portal Access (IMPA) was updated in June to prepare for these changes. The new direct entry reporting form was effective July 1, 2023.
