Director of Resident Relations

DUTIES:
Responsible for coordinating resident moves within the Western Home Communities continuum of care along with assisting with the admission and move in process for new residents into the independent living communities. Helps develop and schedule community outreach efforts to promote independent living, the wellness/community center, and all WHC services, in coordination with marketing. Meets or exceeds specific objectives for: occupancy, inquiry development, external marketing time/calls and key referral source development. Understands and can communicate the benefits, features, and services offered throughout Western Home Communities, including its affiliates outside of Cedar Falls. Ensures that resident and family are welcome and settled on admission day, coordinating move details, including notices, billings, room readiness, keys, dining cards, etc. Obtains feedback from new residents and families to determine and ensure satisfaction; responding to concerns in a timely and appropriate fashion, and other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
A strong emphasis will be placed on sales and following procedures for internal and external inquiries. A Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field is preferred. Must have good communication skills and the ability to foster good interpersonal relations with residents, staff, families, visitors and the public. Personal computer/word processor experience preferred. Nursing/social work experience helpful. Experience in sales and/or results and achievement oriented. Ability to read, write and speak fluent English.

Must have valid Iowa driver’s license.
