IHCA Foundation Scholarship Program

The 2019 application window for the Foundation Health Care Scholarships is now closed. Recipients will be notified of the results in early July.

The IHCA Foundation is an affiliate of the Iowa Health Care Association (IHCA) that represents more than 750 Iowa long-term services and supports providers. In 2019, the Foundation will award up to 20 $1,500 scholarships to employees of our IHCA, ICAL and ICHC member organizations who are continuing their education in nursing, physical/occupational therapy or health care administration with the intent of working in the long-term services and supports field.

To qualify:

• At the time of application and at the time scholarships are awarded, the applicant must work for an IHCA member nursing facility, assisted living program, residential care facility, home health agency, home care provider or independent senior living community.

• Applicants must be enrolled or accepted in an accredited school of nursing, long-term care or health care administration program or PT/OT degree or PT/OT assistant program.

• Scholarships are for the 2019–2020 academic year; therefore, applicants must be taking classes during the fall 2019 and/or spring 2020 semesters.

The scholarships are made possible by contributions from the John R. and Zelda Z. Grubb Charitable Foundation, Health Purchasing Services (HPSI), the Vetter Foundation, PCPMG Consulting, Access Institute, Inc., the Iowa Society of Post-Acute & Long-Term Care Medicine, Iowa Council of Nurse Leaders and IHCA Regional Chapters.
