Board Election Bio – Kellie Gee

Kellie Gee RN/COTA

Kellie began her healthcare career in the mid 90’s when she became a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She worked as a COTA in Iowa and Missouri.  Providing therapy in SNF and Long term care facilities.  Working both as a treating therapist and as the Director of Rehab in multiple facilities.

Kellie began her nursing career working Med/Surg at Burgess Medical Center in Onawa, Iowa. After the birth of her oldest son she began working as a Charge Nurse for Maple Heights Nursing Home. When the opportunity presented itself she began working as a home health nurse, on a part time basis, for Heights Home Health. She learned the business, worked hard, and when her boss retired she excitedly relished at the opportunity to become the Administrator.

Since becoming the Administrator, Kellie has grown the agency on a consistent basis. She serves many of the farming communities around her home town of Mapleton Iowa.  Being a typical small Iowa agency Kellie serves as the Administrator, treating nurse, care coordinator, QA and at times bath aide and homemaker.

Kellie initially started serving on the ICAL board and is currently the sitting on the ICHC board.

On a personal note, Kellie and her husband Jeff have three beautiful children, Parker (13), Ada (11), and Dietrich (8). Together they own two business, an Income tax service and a DJ service. Kellie is actively involved with the Autism Support Group of Sioux City. She is also involved in the community participating in many civic and fundraising activities.

Past times include camping and with her husbands help compound bow, she hopes to be able to join her husband and son soon in competitive shoots.
