Board Election Bio – Holly Turner

Holly feels that she has been privileged to serve on the IHCA board of directors for the past eight years. She enjoys representing IHCA Members and hopes to continue in this role.

Ms. Turner has worked in long term care for the past 19 years, starting out as an office assistant, then moving into the Business Office Manager role while continuing to cross train in other departments. In 2008, Holly graduated with a BS in Healthcare Administration and completed her internship in Villisca, Iowa. Her first assignment as an Administrator was at the Good Samaritan Society in St. Ansgar, Iowa.  In this role, she learned important lessons about nursing home operation in a rural location. In 2012, Ms. Turner transferred to the Good Samaritan Society in Indianola and she is still learning about the different challenges and opportunities in operations of a larger, urban location.

Holly has really enjoyed getting to know and build relationships with our legislators and having a part in helping to keep them informed about the issues faced in the long term care industry. Holly states, “I am passionate about long term care and the elderly residents that I have been honored to serve. It’s not every profession that one has the opportunity to make a positive difference in someone’s life every day! Please consider me to continue to represent you on the IHCA board of directors!”
