Work History:

Good Samaritan Society-Holstein: 2009-Present

Interim Sunset Knoll Care and Rehab: 2017-2019

Good Samaritan Society-Newell: 2019-Present

I have been a LTC Administrator for over 10 years. Within those 10 years I’ve had the experience of working for a large corporation and a single standalone facility. Both of those experiences taught me that the association has a very diverse membership and each member is going to require their talents differently. My time with ICHA has been very rewarding in helping shape my professional standards but also helping lead the LTC industry in Iowa to reach excellent outcomes and services.

ICHA Board Experience/Committees:

Executive Board 2018/2019

Board of Directors as the Non-Profit Chair

Workforce Committee

Education and Convention Committee

One of the best experiences I’ve had with the association is completing the Leadership Academy in 2018. This opportunity lead to being accepted into the AHCA Future Leaders Program in the fall of 2018 with graduation planned for 2019. Our Facility won an AHCA Bronze Award in 2015.

I was selected as the IHCA Volunteer of the Year while in Middle School. My passion for long term care started early in life. I knew growing up and attending college this was the only profession for me. I attended the University of Iowa with a degree in psychology and aging studies. I completed my NAB classwork at Iowa Lakes Community College.

My hobbies include spending time with my family, husband Matt, daughter Aubrey and son Dane. With a deep love for my alma mater Iowa Hawkeyes, we spend many fall Saturdays in Iowa City. My family is very involved in our community and my center. LTC has been my life’s work and I look forward to continuing that work towards making it the best for our residents, families and staff.
