The projected growth in healthcare jobs continues to climb, and long term services and supports providers need to take an active role in recruiting the next generation of our workforce. The IHCA Workforce Recruitment Toolkit provides resources for our member organizations to reach out in their local communities to promote healthcare careers and training for the up and coming workforce.

Sample letter for outreach to local school districts. Use this sample letter as a starting point to create your own to send to area high school counselors and career development staff. Edit and personalize the letter as needed and print it on your organization letterhead or send it via email.
IHCA workforce recruitment video: Start Your Career in Healthcare Today! This video is available for all IHCA member organzations and schools to use in educating students on the variety of healthcare-related occupations available in the long term services and supports setting all across the state. Use it for career days and at job fairs - anywhere you want to promote careers in long term services and supports!

Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals CNA training requirements. Any location wishing to participate by hosting the 30-hour on-site clinical and 15-hour on-site lab instruction for the CNA Training Program, must meet the Iowa requirements outlined in the regulations and code and must apply to and be accepted by the DIA Health Facilities Division. Directory of Iowa Community Colleges 2016-2017. Currently, testing for the CNA Training Program must be coordinated with an Iowa Community College. This list provides the locations and contacts for Iowa’s Community Colleges throughout the state.
Community College secondary coordinators. Oversee the community college's high school partnerships and programming. This person can help with set up of college credit courses for high school students (called concurrent or dual enrollment).
