Gain the knowledge and skills to accurately identify, understand and schedule various MDS 3.0 assessments and understand the CAA process, including triggers and the care plan requirements. Plus, coding of SNF assessments and review of SNF payment implications. The MDS 201 education will provide additional focus on Section GG coding. Review of requirements for CAA’s, timing for OBRA and PPS assessments, and care plans will be to show how to make the plan of care resident centered.
- Identify correct timing for OBRA and PPS assessments.
- Identify how to complete the CAA’s process.
- Identify how to complete the care plan in relationship to the MDS.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This training is for Long Term Care facility (SNF/NF) personnel who are actively involved with the completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) process which is primary to Interdisciplinary Team Members and also for Directors of Nursing and Administrators.
