PDPM is designed to classify patients into payment groups based on specific, data-driven patient characteristics, while simultaneously reducing administrative burdens on SNF providers.  PDPM is a big change and will have a major effect on the way you document your Restorative Therapy. A lot of things will go away, and new things take their place. As with any change there are risks and opportunities. Minimizing the risk and maximizing the opportunities is best achieved by knowledge and preparation.

Under PDPM, residents who are more clinically complex or who have other indicators of acuity, including a higher ADL score, depression, or restorative nursing services, would receive a higher payment. This workshop will help you evaluate your restorative program to determine how best to document and maintain goals achieved from therapy services under the new PDPM program.
