Each year, you can be assured that CMS will release an update to the RAI MDS 3.0 User’s manual. Once again CMS did not disappoint. A manual update went into effect on October 1, 2017 with not only some of the usual updates and revisions, but also some surprises and the addition of several new MDS items.
This comprehensive training will guide participants through the revisions and changes made to the MDS 3.0 that become effective October 1, 2017. It will include changes to section on restraints and alarms, ADL’s, and medications. The class will also include a review of changes to Baseline Care Plans and how it effects the MDS, dental/oral health status and the MDS, and changes to care plan development and implementation.
- Identify changes in MDS 3.0 effective October 1, 2017.
- Understand how to accurate complete the changes and new sections.
