Teepa Snow's "Best Practices in Dementia Care"
2 hours of CEUs for: ALL Disciplines including CNAs and Health Care Assistants
This 2-hour workshop developed by renowned Dementia Expert “Teepa Snow” is designed for professional caregivers who want to move from “dealing with” dementia related behaviors to creating a positive and “partnering” experience for the person in need of care. Learn effective care giving and communication best practice techniques that reduce resistance and foster participation. Examine factors that may increase challenging behaviors and help participants approach challenging behaviors in a thoughtful, respectful and person centered way. Gain the ability to recognize and understand signals of “unmet needs and growing distress” from the person you are caring for, and create better quality of life for all involved.
The workshop speaker, Lisa Uhlenkamp, has been formally trained by Teepa Snow and is certified to present Teepa’s Positive Physical Approach, Hand under Hand, and GEMs training programs.
