Brent Willett

As President & CEO, Brent Willett is responsible to the IHCA Board of Directors for overseeing the strategic vision for IHCA and the Iowa Health PAC. Steve maintains a proactive role in legislative and government affairs, advocacy, Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement, and is the Association’s liaison to the American Health Care Association.



Cindy Baddeloo

As Senior VP & COO, Cindy Baddeloo, PhD, CAE, (pronounced bad-low) manages the internal operations of the Association, the Foundation, and ECSI. She works closely with the ICAL board of directors.  She serves on various state and national public policy committees representing the association membership and is the liaison to NCAL, AMDA, and ASAE.

Retiring President & CEO, Steve Ackerson, is serving as a staff consultant until the end of 2017.



Bill Nutty
Vice President, Government & Regulatory Affairs

Bill Nutty, JD, is our members’ key resource for information on Iowa’s long term care and home care rules and regulations, the Iowa Code. Representing IHCA on Capitol Hill, Bill monitors proposed rules and advances the Association’s position on proposed legislation by participating in hearings and submitting comments. He works closely with the Nursing Facility, Assisted Living, and Home Health Survey Results Committees and Life Safety Task Force sub-committees.



Mary Jane Carothers
Vice President, Quality Improvement & Clinical Affairs

Mary Jane Carothers, RN, BA, LNHA, ALMC works with all of the Quality Initiatives with our members and others. She is responsible for issues related to quality improvement, advancing excellence, clinical practice issues in all long term and home care, Care Watch, LTC Trend Tracker. She staffs the IHCA and ICAL quality and Medicare committees. She is our trainer for QAPI, Interact, and other clinical areas.



Brandon Hagen
Vice President, Managed Care Programs & Reimbursement

Brandon Hagen is our members' liaison with managed care organizations (MCOs) and other stakeholders on managed care and reimbursement issues. He assists members in navigating the IA Health Link program and in resolving specific issues with MCOs related to contracting, claims, authorization, payment and regulatory requirements. As IHCA's reimbursement expert, he works closely with the Legislative and Payment Committee and Medicare Committee as well as provides member education, training and resources on the latest reimbursement issues. 



Julie Adair
Vice President, Home Care & Workforce

Julie Adair works directly with all the IHCA Allied member groups. She is responsible for monitoring issues that affect home care and also each workforce group including regulatory concerns, licensure and certification issues, and professional development. She staffs the IHCA's Iowa Council of Activity Professionals, Iowa Council of Health Care Assistants, Iowa Council of Nurse Leaders, and Workforce Committee. She is our liasion to the National Association of Home Care & Hospice (NAHC). 



Dave Tomlin
Vice President, Convention & Education

Dave Tomlin is responsible for the planning and execution of all educational seminars, conferences and the IHCA annual convention. Each year he coordinates over 75 IHCA education sessions serving over 5,000 attendees. He works directly with the Education and Convention Committee to identify education topics for our members. In addition, Dave maintains continuing education providerships through the boards that oversee discipline requirements for nursing facility, assisted living, home health, and residential care facility professionals.



Claire Seely
Vice President, Public Relations & Member Communications

Claire Seely works with the IHCA Public Relations Committee to meet the communications needs of our members. Her responsibilities include responding to media inquiries, editing IHCA's member publications and website, and producing all promotional materials, including those for our award and scholarship programs and overseeing the statewide public image and education campaign.



Megan Stoulil
Vice President, Accounting & Member Services

Megan Stoulil manages IHCA's accounting procedures including account payables and receivables and education event billing. She coordinates the annual IHCA Trade Show and education sponsorships, assists with membership recruitment and retention, and manages the associated databases.



Andrea Johnson
Office & Project Manager

Andrea Johnson, as the IHCA Office Manager provides technical office support; serving as primary staff support to the President and Senior Vice President, working on special projects, overseeing database maintenance, and managing a wide variety of administrative tasks for the Iowa Health PAC and IHCA Foundation. She also provides support for the association's accounting and budgeting systems.



Georgene Olson
Administrative & Education Specialist

Georgene Olson, Executive Secretary & Education Assistant, provides support to the Vice President, Education by coordinating the Education and Convention committee. She also oversees the education registration process, dissemination of course promotion and supplemental handouts, and tabulation of speaker evaluations. Georgene manages member CEU records and processes material sales orders. She is primarily responsible for answering and routing telephone calls as needed.
