Assited Living REGULATORY Nurse Class Purpose

This class meets Iowa Assisted Living Regulation: 481-69.29(6):  All Iowa Assisted Living facilities must have a minimum of one delegating nurse, complete an Assisted Living nursing class whose curriculum includes at least six hours of training specifically related to Iowa rules and laws on assisted living.

Program Description and Information
The focus of this education is to provide the assisted living nurse in Iowa with understanding the role of the nurse in assisted living, Iowa assisted living laws, regulations, and survey compliance. The course will prepare the nurse to develop services and procedures that reflect assisted living values and comply with Iowa certification rules. Discussion of emerging issues will assure that your services comply with regulatory intent.

Who Should Attend:
Assisted Living nurses - Whether you are new to health care, or simply new to the assisted living continuum, this course will give you the skills and confidence needed to understand the A.L. regulations and survey processes.
