IHCA Convention

September 26-28, 2016
Marriott Hotel, 700 Grand Ave., Des Moines

The IHCA Annual Convention and Trade Show gives long term services and supports professionals the opportunity to join together with other administrators, owners, nurses, and activity, dietary, activity, environmental and social services staff. It's a great opportunity to focus on excellence in service, quality care and teamwork that results in satisfaction of the residents, tenants, clients and family members we serve.

The three-day convention includes two keynote speeches and offers more than 40 education breakout sessions on topics from health care to culture change to personal development - with up to 18 hours of CEUs available. Attendees are also invited to several evening social events and a trade show featuring more than 80 vendors. Registration will open in mid-summer. Register here.

2016 Poster Contest and Photo Submission
The IHCA Convention presents an excellent opportunity to celebrate Iowa’s seniors and those who care for them. Members have two different opportunities to show their pride. All IHCA ICAL members are invited to participate in the Poster Contest and Photo Submissions that feature your seniors and/or staff.

Convention Contest
This year’s convention contest challenge is for IHCA members to create a poster featuring your staff and
seniors in a western theme motif. You can base the poster on a favorite western movie or TV Show.

The contest is open to all member organizations - convention attendance is not required. The entries will be judged by an independent panel of judges during the convention. Several prizes will be awarded at the Convention’s Awards Luncheon and Program on September 28, 2016.

Send your photos in!
Show your facility pride by participating in this year’s general session slide show. Please send us
photos that feature your staff and seniors in western attire or a western themed event. The photos
will be shown on the “BIG SCREEN” during the opening of each of the conventions general session.
