The IHCA ICAL Annual Convention and Trade Show gives long term care professionals the opportunity to join together with other administrators, nurses, activity professionals, dietary and, housekeeping managers, and social work professionals. It's a great opportunity to focus on excellence in service, caring and teamwork that results in satisfaction of the residents, tenants, clients and family members we serve.
The three-day convention includes two keynote speeches and offers more than 40 education breakout sessions on topics from health care to culture change to personal development - with up to 18 hours of CEUs available. Attendees are also invited to several evening social events and a trade show featuring more than 80 vendors.

The sleeping room block is sold out at the convention headquarters, the Downtown Des Moines Marriott. We have secured a block of rooms for our convention attendees at the hotels listed below. Be sure to ask for the special Iowa Health Care Association rate when reserving your sleeping room. The room blocks at these hotels will expire on September 3, 2010. CONVENTION CONTEST AND FACILITY PHOTO
It's time to start thinking about the IHCA ICAL 2010 Convention and Trade Show! All member facilities are invited to participate in the 2010 Convention Magazine Cover Design Contest and the Facility Slide Show.
Use the Celebrating Your Facility theme, staff members and residents can design their magazine cover to showcase all the great things about your facility. Have fun, be creative and design a magazine cover that showcases your facility, staff and residents!
Also don't forget to send in your facility photo for the general session slide show! To make sure your facility is included, submit a photo of your staff and/or residents celebrating the facility's years of service. When sending your photo in, be sure to include the facility name and years it has been serving your community. The photo submission deadline is September 7, 2010.
